COSHH Pictograms .... Do you know your NEW symbols?
As you may already be aware, as a result of changes in the Regulations a new classification and labelling system for hazardous chemicals has been introduced using Pictograms. The new pictograms are in the shape of a red diamond with a white background, and will replace the old orange square symbols, which applied under the previous legislation.
Since 1 December 2010, some substances and mixtures have already been labelled according to the new legislation; but the old symbols can still be on the market until 1 June 2017. Until then, you may find detergents, paints or other materials and products labelled with either the old orange symbols or the new white pictograms.
It is improtant that we all are familiar with the New White Pictograms so that we are aware of the hazards that any product may present to us. Our Pictogram Posters provide a clear and concise interpretation of each Pictogram with its meaning, and in a handy A3 size, which is ideal for putting on walls, in small spaces such as on doors of cleaning cupboards, in caretakers rooms, or infact in any area where the information can be easily accessible by the users of chemicals and products.
