Heat Resistant Switches

The Santon packet switch is able to resist high temperatures (up to a constant temperature of 100° C on the terminals) and meets the requirements of the IEC 60947-1&3 standard. The packet switch from Santon is made from insulating plastic discs. Santon supplies the packet switch in a special hest-resistant plastic casing, which creates a heat-resistant switch which meets the standards (EN-12101 Teil 3, 250 °C/2h oder 400 °C/1h). This standard is applicable to ventilation installations in tunnels, car parks, theatres, office buildings, etc. such as the Gothard tunnel, the Benelux tunnel, the Westerschelde tunnel and the Betuwelijn tunnels.
