Houdini Adhesive Backed Seal With Sponge Bulb

This sponge bulb seal is 11.2mm by 16.5mm and supplied by the linear metre. This closed cell sponge material does not absorb water so is suitable for making a watertight seal on hatches, lockers, enclosures, doors, and cabinets. The hollow shape allows for easy compression to create a good and long lasting seal. This section comes with a high adhesive 3M double sided tape which can be easily applied to most clean flat surfaces such as plastic, wood and metal by peeling off the backing paper and sticking in place. The tape is water resistant, but not recommended for environments which have constant immersion to water. This product is a co-extrusion comprising of a solid EPDM foot and compressible expanded EPDM sponge bulb. When compressed to approximately 30%, this section will create a good long-term watertight seal without risk of compression set. This material has a good modular resistance to most substances including most chemicals, UV, air and ozone but is not recommended in environments which may come into contact with oil or fuel. EPDM has an operating temperature range between -40°C to +120°C.
