Porthole Natural Rubber 40° Strip - 25mm x 3mm

This Porthole Rubber Strip is 25mm wide by 3mm thick and supplied by the metre. The maximum continuous length is 2 metres. For example, an order for 3 metres will be supplied as a 2 metre and a 1 metre length. This semi soft rubber is commonly used for sealing brass and bronze port lights and vents on boats and other marine vessels. For plastic and Aluminium port lights it is recommended that you use an expanded neoprene seal (available from our website). We manufacture this product from a high quality off-white natural rubber which is abrasion and tear resistant, resilient, and has a high tensile strength. Natural rubber is semi-soft, flexible and semi-compressible. This material is excellent for creating a watertight seal in brass and bronze port lights, hatches and doors but is not recommended for environments which may come into contact with chemicals, oil or fuel. As this is a natural rubber it has low UV resistance. The optimum operating temperature for this product is -20°C to +70°C.
