S Shaped Claytonrite Window Rubber Seal - 5mm x 4mm

Our S shaped Claytonrite glazing window rubbers are designed to hold the Perspex or glass into your boat, car or van. They are usually used on large boats or marine vessels where the window is larger than the aperture. This helps hold the window in place in the event of impact from a large wave. This section has 5mm and 4mm gaps for either your glass or panel but is universal so can be used either way around. This glazing window rubber will seal approximately -1mm. For example, you can fit a 4mm-5mm glass into the 5mm gap, but we would not recommend fitting anything thicker than 5mm as this may cause water ingress. We manufacture this product from high quality EPDM which is a rubber compound suitable for extreme environments and weather conditions. This material has a good modular resistance to most substances and is a strong and robust material to securely hold the window into your boat, car or van. You will need a filler strip (sold separately) to apply compression onto the glass and panel. It is also recommended that you bed the rubber in with a silicone sealant, such as S138.
