Sponge D Shaped Rubber Seal - 10mm x 9mm

This sponge D seal is 10mm by 9mm and supplied by the linear metre. This closed cell sponge material does not absorb water so is suitable for making a watertight seal on hatches, lockers, enclosures, doors, and cabinets. The hollow shape allows for the seal to compress providing a good long-term watertight sealing solution. Expanded Neoprene can be bonded onto most clean flat surfaces such as plastic, wood and metal. If there is a large amount of moisture or water present we recommend using a good quality contact adhesive such as our A262 (available from our website). We manufacture this product from high quality expanded EPDM which is a compressible material suitable for a wide range of applications. When compressed to approximately 30%, this section will create a good long-term watertight seal without risk of compression set. This material has a good modular resistance to most substances including most chemicals, UV, air and ozone but is not recommended in environments which may come into contact with oil or fuel. EPDM has an operating temperature range between -40°C to +120°C.
