SGS Consumer Testing Services at Bradford, West Yorkshire are the only laboratory in the UK to be approved to test Toy products destined for the Indonesian market; a status which is mandatory in this country. On the 30 April 2014, Indonesia enforced their new toy safety regulation of the SNI for Toys (Regulation 24/M-IND/PER/4/2013) as amended by Regulation 55/M-IND/ PER/11/2013. The authorities in Indonesia have opened testing to the toy safety regulation to overseas labs as an interim measure until a MRA (ILAC) mechanism is in place.
