This overhead framework also offers a good place to display social distancing signs as customers approach the checkouts. Fixing sneeze guards to checkouts presents challenges - especially when the goods to be scanned may be bulky and there is no belt provision. In this case suspending a protection screen may be a good option. In some buildings that may be relatively easy using one of our many hanging wire systems. However for high roof spaces it can be very difficult to accurately position every wire to match both the required position of the screen and a suItable roof fixing.. Green Magic has conceived Roof Rail as a solution to this problem. Roof Rail kits We have put together two systems in kit form. This web page covers the standard duty kit which is suitable for hanging relatively light sneeze screens such as our Suspended Protection Screens. The system is explained in the exploded view image above. The standard kit provides everything required to fix up two parallel rails 4m long at well above head height. The rails can be supported from the roof members wherever convenient anchor points can be found - for example by looping the supplied wires around roof trusses. The self locking fittings mean that no crimping or use of specialist tools is required. However safe access to the roof space may mean this a job for a specialist contractor Protection screens can then be hung from these two rails in exactly the right position to suit individual checkouts - to protect checkout staff from front and back and to provide reassurance to the general public.
