SST Launch The New and Improved O2I-FLEX Interface Board

SST continue the OXY-Flex brand by adding their new generation of interface boards to their product portfolio. The O2I-Flex is a flexible, all in one solution required to operate SST's range of dynamic Zirconium Dioxide Oxygen sensors. Our engineers have been working on our New Generation of Interface Boards which operate all of our zirconia oxygen sensors, also known as the O2I-FLEX , for one year. Our oxygen interface board is an extension to the SST Sensing brand called the OXY-FLEX oxygen analyzer range - also known as the "All-In-One" gas measurement system (oxygen sensor and eletronics combined). The original design of our oxygen interface electronic board was at times, very costly for our customers and the reason for this was down to high component costs. In order to operate all of SST's oxygen sensors, you require oxygen interace electronic boards, which can either be sold seperately (costly option), or as a combined oxygen analyzer, also known as our OXY-FLEX oxygen analyzer. As a result of the costly implications for the original interface electronics, our engineers decided it was time to design the O2I-FLEX interface board. By doing this, it meant our customers had a choice between an all in one solution (OXY-FLEX oxygen analyzer) or an oxygen sensor and interface board (sold seperately) which was of higher spec and more cost effective than before. The O2I-FLEX oxygen interface board is a flexible, all in one solution, required to operate SST's range of dynamic Zirconia Oxygen Sensors. The new generation of Oxygen Interface Boards eliminates the need for the customer to execute their own control electronics within the application. One of the main benefits to the O2I-FLEX Oxygen Interface is that it has, not one, not two but three outputs; current, voltage, and RS232 serial output all combined on one version of the board. Not only can the O2I-FLEX handle both user selectable measurement ranges of 0-25% and 0-100% oxygen concentration but, it can operate from a 24VDC ± 10% supply. With benefits of having externally triggered manual or automatic calibrations, which can be initiated via an on-board push button switch and calibration in normal air or any known gas concentration, illustrates how versatile and high spec this product really is. The O2I-FLEX Oxygen Interface Board has been purchased by a number of customers who are using these products with great success in their own applications. Keith Wight, Managing Director of SST stated; "Our engineers have been working very hard on the O2I-FLEX and we are extremely pleased with the feedback we have received so far. We expect to start producing these on a larger scale towards the middle of 2010".
