Whilst 2021 did not quite begin the way we all hoped, a third lockdown has meant we are all becoming more expert in dealing with COVID-19 and the impact it has on business. Obviously, as with all businesses, we have had to make many changes to the way we operate as a business to ensure we are COVID compliant. St Clare Engineering is classed as part of the essential supply chain as our fork lift drum handling equipment and materials are used in many industries including logistics, pharmaceutical, food production, energy and the like. These are all essential services that need support for new equipment and service/repairs to existing units. We take our responsibility as an employer and business partner very seriously, and the health and safety of our employees and clients is our foremost priority. To ensure we operate in a manner which protects our customer and staff’s welfare, we have implemented the following measures: Ensuring social distancing within the factory Staggered lunch/tea breaks Practising good hand hygiene behaviours Ensuring control of infection in the premises and equipment by regular cleaning Non-contact deliveries and collections Making sure all staff members self-isolate if they begin to display symptoms Conducting virtual team meetings via video We are continuing to closely monitor the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak to ensure we are protecting the health of the St Clare Engineering team, our customers, suppliers and communities.
