Our New Team Member

In late March 2012 we rescued a young chestnut mare who was due to be killed for meat. She was only 7 years old and had been used as a breeding machine - we were assured that she was not carrying a foal, and she arrived very tired, skinny and frightened. On 10th April, we found that we had a new member of our team......A little girl, still un-named. Suzie is extremely proud of her baby and we hope that she will be able to raise this one free from fear. Her other babies probably went into the meat trade but this one will be safe forever.
