Our IFB 3018 waterjet cutting system is perfect for cutting profiles in virtually any material. Waterjet cutting allows precise and complex cutting of material including mild steel, tool steel, mould steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and bronze. We can cut materials up to 200mm thick. A significant advantage of waterjet cutting is very little heat is produced during the process, therefore there is no heat affected zone so secondary finishing is usually not required. The cuts are made by erosion, rather than shearing or heat, so they produce exceptional edge quality without inducing mechanical stresses. Raw materials maintain their structural integrity, and deburring and other secondary finishing are usually not required. Our waterjet cutting system complements our existing bandsaw and flame cutting services. It also allows us to turn around jobs very quickly through rapid programming and short setup times.
