Stocksigns and Links Signs showed their intentions to work together in a partner project under the Crossrail Signs banner at the London Rail Show held at the America Square Conference Centre on the 29th June 2010
With over 85 years of joint experience within the manufacture and installation of specialist signage and poster frames, this collaboration puts Crossrail Signs at the head of supply into the rail sector.
Crossrail, the new high frequency, convenient and accessible railway for London and the South East, will be looking to improve twenty eight current surface stations, rebuild11 chief surface station and nine sub-surface stations. Signs will be a vital component to the project both temporary during construction and permanent signage systems including rail signs, safety signs and car park signage for operational and customer interfaces. All of which Crossrail Signs construct as well as give the whole project management solution from design to installation – offering the project a real one stop shop. When the service opens, Crossrail trains will move from Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east via new twin tunnels underneath central London. It will join Heathrow Airport, the West End, the City of London and Canary Wharf. Crossrail will make travelling in the region simpler and faster. It will decrease over crowding on Londons transport network, by working with mainline-size trains transporting more than 1500 people in each train during busy periods. It is projected that Crossrail will increase Londons rail transport system by more than ten per cent.
