Magnet Price Increases

Sugatsune wishes to inform its customers of a potential price increase in the coming months across its magnet range. Rare Earth magnets have been increasing in cost rapidly. Largely caused by the ongoing China – USA Trade War as well as a global increase in demand and a lack of available supply. Sugatsune is renowned for producing strong, compact magnets, of which Neodymium is the core component, hence the vast majority of Sugatsune’s magnet offering will be affected. These cost increases are too small to absorb and we are forced to review prices accordingly. You will likely have received similar emails from other suppliers, or indeed they may have already put their prices up! We have no set date for an increase, but once current stocks have been depleted new prices will come in to effect. At this stage we are unable to confirm future pricing, but we wanted to give our customers prior warning to ensure any current requirements can be purchased without any cost addition, and to help plan for the increase accordingly. In order to reduce the impact we will be monitoring costs closely and delaying any increase for as long as possible. Any increases will be by the absolute minimum, and only where absolutely necessary. We understand the lack of specific information may be frustrating, but we believe it is the fairest policy for our customers and ensures Sugatsune can offer the best price possible with minimum increase.
