Which stars shone at KBB?

We all love putting on a trade show. All that hard work and coffee rewarded with new friends and new business. This year turned out to be the busiest ever for Sugatsune UK with hundreds of new customers being drawn to the stand to explore our massive range of components and hardware. One of the interesting bits of feedback we get from a show like KBB is which products are particularly attractive to customers this year. Here are the five products which seemed to garner the most interest this time around. Drop hinges are often used where a flap drops down and a continuous surface is required, like in a bureau or desk. The SDH-P introduces 3-way adjustment to give perfect fit and has an optional smart cap to conceal the adjusters. The SDH-P is a 3 way adjustable drop hinge for 16-19mm overlay with a 90º opening angle. It gives 1mm horizontal adjustment either way and 1-3mm adjustment for the gap. Often used with the SDH-P in audio vusual cabinetry is the CSD-10-TV, a soft down stay for downward opening flap doors. Unlike many larger stays the CSD-10-TV is ideal for those small flaps behind which can lurk video and gaming technology. The opening speed is fully adjustable and it's very easy to fit, just line up with the side and front of the cabinet and screw in place. The CSD-10-TV is a compact soft-down stay for audio visual furniture Combining the space saving characteristics of bi-folding and pocket doors is the ALT-F. It's often used to conceal utility areas where having the door disappear out of the way is especially useful The ALT-F bi-folding pocket door is a great space saver which gives excellent access. Each of the doors can be up to 450mm wide by 1830mm high and weigh 10kgs Like it's smaller brothers which have been the focus of previous trade shows the LIN-X1000 has a lateral opening motion, out and to the side. Whereas the smaller LIN-X 450 is for cabinet doors the LIN-X 1000 is for walk-in wardrobes and full height cabinets. The motion is space saving, needing only half the space a comparable swing door would require and with soft closing it can bring a high degree of style and swish to a contemporary interior. The LIN-X 1000 caught the public's imagination this year with it's novel lateral motion and space saving features. New introductions from Japan included these rather exciting hooks below. Hooks are an opportunity for the designer to add a visual accent without overwhelming the overall design. These quirky hooks bring character and style with the brightly coloured "Vivid Rubber" having a soft rubber surface making them equally ideal for child friendly applications or the boardroom of major search engine companies.
