TBA are investing in the young people of Rochdale by employing apprentices to learn all about manufacturing and business. Located at Gorrells Way, TBA are training their apprentices in research and development, business administration and electrical maintenance. The apprentices have an opportunity to learn about every aspect of the manufacturing process and contribute to the development of new products and services.
On Thursday 26th November the apprentices attended St Anne’s Academy in Middleton where they discussed their roles and experiences with the school children whilst demonstrating TBA’s products including a 3D printer and fire protection clothing.
Gail Campbell, Sales and Marketing Manager for TBA Protective Solutions said “It was great to see the school children interacting with the apprentices and finding out from them what it is really like for young people entering the manufacturing world. Manufacturing has always been at the heart of TBA and through our apprentice schemes TBA are ensuring that the skills and knowledge gained throughout the years are passed on to the younger generation. It is an exciting time for TBA with new products being developed such as the graphene hybrid conductive clear coating, 3D printing and advancements in fire protection clothing and materials, to all of which our apprentices are making significant contributions.”
