Distance Meter PROTO Board

The Distance Meter PROTO Board features the MB1100 Ultrasonic Transducer. The board has automatic real-time background calibration, high acoustic output power, greatly improved real-time noise rejection, centimetre resolution, longer distance range measurement and analogue hardware gains. These improvements in most cases result in virtually noise-free distance readings. The real-time fully automatic calibration is performed in the background so that the sensor is calibrated to operate properly for each individual reading. Even if the sensor is powered up with an object pressing against the front sensor face, the presence of the object will be reported correctly. Also, it has increased acoustic power, auto-calibration, and better noise filtering allowing stable distance readings with centimetre resolution. In addition, the higher power, the longer-range measurement allowed.
