The economy folding wheelchair ramp is one of our bestselling products. So it is just logical to develop this range. In the last few months we have introduced the new and improved flat hinge for easier handling and for pedestrian usage. We also have now available the extra wide economy folding wheelchair ramp with an internal usable width of 750mm to cover a wider space and wider wheelchairs as only the standard width wheelchairs. Possible usage for all manual and electric wheelchairs and scooter with a featured capacity of up to 300kg. Available in the length 2ft to 8ft. To keep the high capacity the 7ft and 8ft ramps are equipped with the usual 3 hinges, as the flat hinge is not strong enough for these kind of lengths. Of course the extra wide economy folding wheelchair ramp also feature the flat improved hinge whilst made out of aluminium relatively lightweight in the total weight. With their rest on connection you can just place the ramp and start loading. We usually recommend a minimum gradient for manual wheelchairs from 1:6 and for electric scooters, due to their low ground clearance the safety gradient from 1:8. Usually a longer ramp provides and smoother gradient for the wheelchair users. Equipped with edges on each side of the ramp to prevent accidentally wheeling off.
