The first installation of Stannahs brand new bottom drive Microlift is playing an important part in the recent refurbishment of Pizza Express in Barnstaple, Devon. Easier to maintain and requiring less headroom than a top drive model, this 2-stop, 50 kg dumbwaiter is bringing fast, efficient delivery of food and associated items between the ground-floor kitchen and 1st-floor restaurant in this former pub dating back to the early 1400s.
Whilst original features such as oak beams and flooring have been retained, a Neapolitan flavour lifts the interior into the 21st century with citrus colours and contemporary, tubular furniture. Perfectly complementing this modern slant is the brushed stainless steel Microlift with entrances one per floor and on opposite sides. This small, discrete lift is ideal for the repeated movement of small loads in this type of fast-paced catering environment. Installed and working in a few days, subject to builders work, it also helps the owners meet the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
Restaurant Manager, Pam Norman, comments:
“Were really proud of what our branch has to offer – customers can enjoy the buildings old world charm, PizzaExpress signature Italian dishes and the service they receive is now enhanced by the Stannah Microlift. We wouldnt be without it!”
This Stannah bottom drive Microlift is serviced by the Bristol branch of Stannah Lifts Services, a 24 hour, 365 day call-out capability for lift products of any make.
