Key Projects in a Busy September

September has long been one of our most high intensity and exciting months of the year and 2008 has been no different. Every Three Shires department has been working accross the country delivering all manner of of ecological, forestry and fencing services;
EcologicalThree Shires has installed in the region of 6000 metres of Herpetosure temporary newt fencing and one-way newt fencing on major projects in the North East for a Nothumbrian Water pipeline project and in Doncaster for Doncaster Borough Council. Other ecological projects included the installation of 200 metres of newt fencing in rural Leicestershire for a private developer, and 250 metres of reptile fencing for St Francis Group at a site in Kettering.
FencingOur fencing teams have carried out mixed installations from palisade and residential fencing to equine and agricultural fencing types across the East midlands. Our clients this September have included, Gould Construction, Campbell Buchannon, UK Coal (Asfordby Mine), North Lodge Racing and North Midland Construction, installing a total distance of 13,000 metres.
ForestryIn the last month our Forestry Department’s operations have taken teams to the Wakefied Estate near Milton Keynes for major forestry thinning works, to Belvior Estate in Leicestershire for clearance and harvesting, and to Coventry for a sensitive, low impact vegetation and tree clearance project on a site with a potential reptile population, this work was carried out Norwich Union, under the instruction of The John Lester Partnership.
