So lets start with what vehicle wrapping is. There are two types of wraps : a commercial wrap and a colour change wrap. What is a commercial wrap? These are digitally printed coverings that adhere to as many sides of the vehicle as you would like. A full wrap completely covers the vehicle and a partial wrap includes any combination of sides, rear and bonnet. The vehicle is measured, graphics are printed onto vinyl and then laminated to protect from UV damage and light scratches. Wraps are the preferred option for fleet branding as the design can be replicated across numerous vehicles/makes/models and can also be removed when its time to update the design. Printed wraps have few limitations – photos, images, colours and logos can be incorporated into the design creating a bespoke, eye catching impact and can be applied to all types of vehicles – trucks, vans, cars, trailers and waste disposal vehicles. Can I change the look of my car? Colour change wraps are just that – they change the colour of an entire car or just parts of the vehicle like bumpers, spoilers, roof and wing mirrors. Perhaps you’ve found the perfect car but aren’t happy with the colour or, just want something new to refresh your current vehicle. Colour change films come in matte, metallic, gloss, carbon fibre and even textured. A broad spectrum of shades and finishes gives you free reign to be creative with combinations. Customising and changing the colour can help you fall in love with your vehicle again – and is faster than a respray. Wraps are completely removable, so you can try out a new colour whenever you’re ready, or return the car to its original look. Things to consider …. Choosing a reputable, experienced company for your vehicle wrap really is paramount. There are two main factors to consider – skilled workmanship and the use of high quality materials. If the vehicle is not properly cleaned and prepared and the vinyl is not heated and fitted correctly, the wrap will start to fail – bubbling and lifting. Experience and training really counts.
