Yamanashi Panasonic Electronic Devices PCB-manufacturing subsidiary is expected to complete its sale in the first quarter of 2015. From 2013 Panasonic planned to contract out all its PCB business and started shutting down its manufacturing site, Yamanashi currently employs over 200 staff . In 1960 Panasonic started producing single-sided PCBs mainly for smart phones, and acquired Sanyo Electric to expand its business. Director of Total Board Solution commented " with the spread of production to small industries can only increase demand for the specialist knowledge and expertise we provide for PCB design."
