Apollo Power 5

HVLP Systems use air to atomise the paint which is consumed as a large amount but only low pressure (4 to 10 PSI from a turbine). The air is usually supplied by a Turbine which works by drawing in air at the start of the turbine, this is then accelerated and compacted before being ejected in a big low pressure volume from the end of the turbine.
