Sensory Waterbeds

The combination of water and sound has unique properties - water is an element that transports sound with an intensity of 25x's that of air. The sound waterbed combines pressure-reducing, harmonious and adaptive response and gentle movements on the warm water mattress with the sound properties of water as a medium. The sound waterbed is ideal for special therapeutic applications by utilising music, spoken word, sounds or natural sounds to aid relaxation. The waterbed can also be put to use in care homes to ease the pressures of daily life and help others to recharge their batteries. The water core is made of phthalate free vinyl and certified in line with Oko-Tex Standard 100. To transmit the sound, high end sound converters are attached to the sound base plate by a special elastic, rubber mounting. The sound converters can be activated via the active amplifier supplied with the system to transmit the base and mid-range of the sound material independently. The intensity and frequency range can be adjusted individually- depending on your requirements and the type of sound. After connecting your CD/DVD player, or some other audio souce, the sound waterbed will automatically activate. With just two controls, you can adjust the bed's sound reproduction as needed. When you switch off your audio source, the sound waterbed will also disable after a couple of minutes. Initial set up should be done by one of our qualified fitters, leaving you to enjoy the benefits of the sound waterbed. We offer a 5 year warranty on the mattress welded seams.
