Export success for Tractive Power

Tractive Power export success Tractive Power has recently had great success with the export of their Tractive Pusher range. Multiple units have been exported to Switzerland via Subis GmbH. Tractive Power teamed up with Subis to export their product throughout Switzerland and Germany, and since forming the partnership has seen some excellent growth in this market. The Tractive Pushers are new to the market but since Subis have introduced the product their customers have been coming back for more. One particular company, Shmid AG found the product to be a real revelation. Schmid AG are a manufacturer of industrial wood furnaces and carry out the complete build from start to finish. There problem was transporting the furnace to each manufacturing stage. Each furnace could weigh up to 9 tonnes. Subis contacted Tractive Power to explain the issue and were offered the TP500, a battery powered pedestrian operated tow tractor with hydraulic attachment and a capacity to move up to 12,500kg on castors. Harry Unternährer, technical director of Subis said, “At first our customer was very sceptical if the TP500 would move the load. They could not see how such a small machine could move such a large weight. After some convincing we persuaded Schmid to trial the Tractive pusher. When we commissioned the machine, our customer was very pleasantly surprised. The TP500 moved the load with ease, and was extremely maneuverable. Since then, Schmid have ordered a second machine due to the success of the Tractive Power unit. Mr. Schneider of Schmid commented, “It is the most used piece of equipment in our factory. Its excellent performance, reliability and a simple operation has made the Tractive Unit a real hit with our workforce, who no longer call it the Tractive Pusher but have now named it, the Ferrari.”
