Using our in-house cutting and expanding facilities, aluminium honeycomb core can be consistently cut to tight tolerances. Over expanded (ox) honeycomb is available to allow for easier forming over curved surfaces. Although its principle use is as a shear-carrying core material in lightweight sandwich panel structures, Cellite hexagonal-cell aluminium honeycomb also possesses significant kinetic energy absorbing properties and is used in many areas associated with fail-safety.
