IDS Barrel Reamer

Hybrid Reamer

Standard Towing Heads
The Standard Towing Head is a simple device that attaches to the end of a piece of pipe to allow it to be pulled. It is designed for use with polyethylene pipe of wall thickness between SDR11 & SDR 17.6 on sizes up to 355mm.
It is operated by simply inserting it into the pipe and turning the eyebolt. The turning action draws a cone into four toothed segments which are forced into the wall of the pipe. The harder the eye is pulled the harder the pipe is gripped.

The IDS HDD & Integral Swivel
Specifically designed for security and reliability in directional drilling
Features:
-Specifically designed for use in HDD applications
-HDD Swivel is available in a range of sizes from 6 tonnes to 50 tonnes (larger sizes are available upon request)
-Integral Swivel is available in standard sizes 15 and 30 tonnes
-Integral Swivel compatible with IDS H1F and H2F Compaction Reamers – Fully interchangeable between reamers – one swivel may be used across a range of IDS H-Series reamer sizes
-Manufactured throughout from high tensile 4145 steel
-HDD Swivel has taper roller bearings, mounted in pairs, provide an operating capacity greater than the stated S.W.L.
-The Integral Swivel has a heavy duty, four point angular contact ball bearing permits thrust in both directions, and an operating capacity greater than the stated S.W.L.
-An advanced labyrinth sealing system excludes bentonite and debris from the bearing chamber
-The Swivel is ‘self-bleeding’ – there is no risk of blowing out the seals through over-greasing and, consequently, no need for a pressure relief valve
-One-piece Rotating Clevis and Main Shaft section is machined from a single steel billet for maximum strength
-Clevis pins are retained using simple and highly effective ‘Nyloc’ Nuts
-All threads are of a coarse design – carefully selected to minimise the danger of failure due to stripped threads
-The Integral Swivel is Fully self-contained design for long life and ease of storage
-Genuine built-in minimum safety factor
-Low Maintenance – regular greasing and damage inspection is the only servicing required
