Guided auger boring is a steered method used to
install gravity pipes from 150mmØ to 900mmØ.
Prior to pipe installation, a pilot bore is driven to
line/level and all aspects of this method fully
support the ground during installation. Ideal for
boring in a wide range of materials and where
minimal settlement is critical. These systems are
accurate to +/- 25mm over a 50 metre bore
length, DN150 to DN725mm Naylor Denlok
Vitrified Clay can be installed.
About Guided Auger Boring
Trenchless Solutions operate a wide range of Guided Auger Boring systems, pipe sizes range from 90mmØ up to 1016mmØ, with jacking forces from 10te to 150te working from 2.0m long pits or 2.1mØ standard round shafts. These optically guided systems are the ideal No-Dig solution for installing new gravity pipelines or purely where accuracy is critical.
A variety of pipe materials can be installed i.e. Naylor Denlok Jacking pipe, steel casings, PE and Hobas GRP Jacking pipe in a wide range of ground conditions where minimal settlement is crucial up to distances of 100m, under waterways, roads, railways, existing structures, congested areas and environmentally sensitive areas.
The Method
Prior to pipe installation, a pilot bore is driven to line/level and all aspects of this method fully support the ground during installation, the cut spoil is conveyed by continuous flight auger back to the work pit.
-Accurate to +/- 25mm over a 50 metre bore length.
-Using these compact machines there is no slurry created.
-DN150 to DN725mm Naylor Denlok Vitrified Clay can be installed.
-The process is quick and efficient meaning overall costs are kept to a minimum.
-Only a small footprint for the working area is required.
-The ground is fully supported during installation.
