New Tritex Multigauges
01-04-2007
Dorchester based, Tritex NDT have developed a new range of triple echo ultrasonic thickness gauges.
The new Tritex Multigauges have been designed for robustness, simplicity of use and most importantly,
accuracy.
The range includes the Multigauge 5500, designed for hands free use when climbing on staging and
scaffolding or when accessing by rope. Whether its onboard a ship, on large storage tanks, climbing on
top of a road tanker or hanging underneath a bridge, the 5500 will make the job much easier.
The Multigauge 5600 has been developed for most common thickness gauging applications. The easy to
use keypad allows operator interface whilst the bright LCD display can be used in all light conditions. The
moulded soft rubber surround feels comfortable, looks good and provides extra protection against knocks
and scrapes.
All probes have IPR (Intelligent Probe Recognition), which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge at
the same time as transmitting recognition data - the result is a perfectly matched probe and gauge for
enhanced performance. Thats not all; the AMVS (Automatic Measurement Verification System) ensures
only true measurements are displayed, even on the most heavily corroded metals. Tritex Triple Echo also
significantly reduces preparation time as it eliminates the need to remove surface coatings, just the metal
is measured.
In developing these gauges, Tritex have remained committed to respecting the environment by omitting
the use of hazardous substances and materials in all products by complying with the RoHS and WEEE
directives.
Typical applications include inspection of bridges, lighting columns, ships, piers, road tankers, pipelines,
storage tanks as well as general industry.
