Obviously the best way to applicate both starters & alternators is via the O.E. numbers, however if these are obscured, illegible or missing the next best thing to do in the case of the Mercedes Sprinter (non stop/start) is check the drive on the unit and count the teeth.
The application is as follows:
10 tooth drive = UNS1215
11 tooth drive = UNS1318
12 tooth drive = UNS1710
Please note: This if for year 2000 on Mercedes Sprinters' without Stop/Start system.
