Human Interaction with Urban Foxes
08-06-2015
Fox cubs are very impressionable at a young age.
They may seem very cute but they rapidly grow in to adults in no time at all.
The advances of a young fox cub may be welcoming to some; however, when the fox cub reaches adulthood, the same advances may not be as welcoming.
Human interaction with foxes produces a 'fearless', tolerant and more confident, unpredictable fox.
Foxes that receive regular hand's-on feeding will link the association of food with humans and humans with food making them scavenge closer and take more opportunistic risks such as entering properties in search for food.
Urban foxes don't need encouraging as they can find enough food for themselves.
Urban foxes should be enjoyed from a distance without human interaction.
