YES - If you purchased it more than a year ago and you’ve not had it serviced. YES - If the lamps have reached the optimum life-time of 2000 hours use, BEFORE the due time of the yearly service. After that time the spectral output of the lamps will change and will need to be replaced. Without a regular service the build-up of dirt will also discolour both the interior paint and lamps, distorting reflective light and spectral output. And why is that important? Deterioration of the reflected light and a decline in quality of spectral output will make your decisions on examined product unreliable and inconsistent. Your product colour matched against a standard may be incorrectly passed or incorrectly rejected - costing time, money and confusion in the supply chain.
