November 2018 marks the First World War Armistice Centenary and W.H.Tildesley is one of only a few remaining drop forging producers that supported the original war effort from 1914 to 1918.
Tildesley was established in 1874 and has supplied components as far back as the Boar War in 1880.
During the First World War the demand for production increased and Tildesley moved to their current site at Clifford Works, Willenhall. This enabled them to meet the demand and create additional jobs in the local area. The drop forged components produced ranged from engine and mechanical components through to horse shoe blanks and grooming equipment.
As we approach the Armistice Centenary we remember those who fought courageously and lost their lives during the Great War. Lest we forget.
