WHT are committed to monitoring and improving the wellbeing of all employees during factory working hours. The environment of the drop forge varies throughout the year. Low temperatures during winter and elevated temperature during the summer can lead to reduced efficiency in the workforce. As part of continued investment we have installed full cavity wall insulation along with temperature controlled air conditioning to select parts of the forge, meeting the latest environmental standards. The forging process involves heating materials to over 1200°C and during the summer months this can make the working environment very uncomfortable for our skilled operators. The air conditioning units are positioned directly above the work area so all members of the forging crew will benefit.
