Weidmüller honours long-serving employees

Detmold-based electronics specialist Weidmüller celebrates 25 and 40 years of company service with 95 international long-serving employees from three countries.
Detmold, 30.11.2015. The family-owned company Weidmüller held its international long-service awards party for 95 long-serving employees from three countries with 25 or 40 years of service on 27 November 2015. The guests from Sweden, Spain and Germany travelled to attend the event accompanied by their partners. The Detmold-based, family-run company has been hosting such an event every November since 2010, to honour the long service of their staff who work around the world for the Group.
Look back at the beginning of the event
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Peter Köhler opened the proceedings by taking a look back at 1975 and 1990, the years when the guests joined the company. He touched on important and amusing events from the
world in general and also from Weidmüller, reawakening memories of the employees' first days at the company. Together with Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Christian Gläsel, he thanked both the invited guests and their families: "Our success and our company's performance are an indication of your massive commitment, which is strengthened by the support of your families." Robert Chwalek, Chair of the Works Council also congratulated the guests of honour.
Pin of honour and a valuable gold coin as presents
In memory of their special day, the long-servers received an pin of honour and a valuable gold coin with Weidmüller embossing. Each of the employees were presented with the gifts personally by the entire Executive Board, Dr. Peter Köhler, Elke Eckstein, Volpert Briel and Harald Vogelsang.
