WERNICK BUILDINGS SHORTLISTED FOR MODERN METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION AWARDS

Wernick Buildings Kingston Hospital project has been shortlisted for the inaugural Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) Awards 2023. Kingston Hospital is one of five projects nominated for the Project of the Year – Showcasing the use of Category 1 MMC (Volumetric Modular). The Wernick team worked closely with the Kingston Hospital NHS Trust to submit the award application, which showcases the hospital’s new state-of-the-art Gynaecology block completed last year. A second building housing the ENT and Audiology departments is set to be completed this spring. Wernick Buildings Director of Sales Rakesh Sandhu commented: “On behalf of Wernick Buildings I am pleased to announce we have been nominated for Project of the Year in the volumetric category. We are thrilled to have been recognised for our work within the industry. This particular project challenged us to create a bespoke healthcare facility which was not only functional and efficient but focused on the needs of both patients and staff.” The MMC Awards 2023 has partnered with the Modular and Portable Building Association to host this exclusive event, which presents a unique opportunity for companies striving to improve MMC technologies and techniques. Category winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 10 May at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London, St Paul’s.
