With chromium and molybdenum helping increase the hardenability of 817M40 and the nickel content increasing the toughness and resistance to impact of 817M40. When supplied as 817M40T it combines high tensile strength, shock resistance, good ductility and resistance to wear.817M40 is available from stock in round bar and plate, which can be cut to suit your requirements.
