BS1452 Grade 260 Cast Iron . Cast Iron bars are generally alloys that contain more than 2% carbon and from 1% to 3% silicon. Cast Iron bar is offered as grey iron and ductile types. The major difference in these types of cast iron is the shape and distribution of graphite in their micro structure. Continuous casting virtually eliminates porosity inclusion, burned on impurities, and surface flaws.
