Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research Ltd is proud to announce that 2013 is their 10 year anniversary of trading in the UK/Europe Founded in 2003 by American parent company WMT&R Inc, Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research Ltd is now one of the largest single independent providers of materials testing in Europe. Not only is WMT&R Ltd celebrating an anniversary this year but also has plans to relocate to larger premises in Banbury, doubling the Company’s capabilities and testing capacity to meet global demand. Our desire is to extend our Nadcap scope to include a full range of composite testing techniques. WMT&R’s team of experienced and knowledgeable professionals use the latest technology to provide high quality, reliable and cost effective results. Substantial capacity permits quick turnaround on high volume tests for a broad range of materials. Tensile properties are evaluated on all products such as 6 micron foils. Strain life and high cycle fatigue data may be provided using standard round specimens and flat sheet from 1 mm. Crack propagation, fracture toughness determinations and other mechanical testing can be conducted at ambient, sub-zero or elevated temperatures. A range of facilities for evaluating corrosion, charpy impact, chemical analysis, surface roughness determination/profiling, sample CNC machining and extensive metallographic services (to include failure analysis). Different to many conventional testing companies, WMT&R has the capability to pursue bespoke work for unique situations. WMT&R Ltd is accredited to UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap standards. Individual OEM approvals include Airbus, Bombardier, General Electric, Goodrich, GKN, Honeywell, Meggitt, Mettis Aerospace, Safran Messier Dowty, Rolls Royce, Snecma, Siemens, Agusta Westland, etc.
