Many of our customers choose our E-Learning courses over classroom based. There are many benefits to completing health and safety training online as they are often cheaper, can be completed around the individual’s schedule, whilst still offering the same great quality and high pass rate. E-Learning does require self-discipline so can be a struggle for those who like to procrastinate.
Here are our three self-discipline tips for online learning: –
1.) Remove Temptations
Removing all distractions from your workplace is vital for concentrating. “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” is our mantra hence, choosing your location can impact your productivity. If being at home creates too many disturbances why not use a coffee shop or a library? Turn off your phone, close the webpages that aren’t of use, choose a comfy seat and prepare to focus.
2.) Make a Schedule
When completing an online course, we know the benefit is flexibility. Our E-Learning still requires the same amount of time as face-to-face courses. Making a schedule and blocking out free time which can be spent studying (whether this is evenings, weekends or even on your lunch break) can make life a lot easier.
3.) Don’t Rush
It is easy to inundate your mind with too much information, therefore cramming everything in for an exam the night before isn’t advised. Do take regular breaks and refresh, an online course gives you the opportunity to proceed at your own pace and enables you to take in all the information required, whether you need to read it once or even five times. Make sure you do what is right for your learning style.
E-Learning is relatively new on the health and safety training scene and it’s taken off in a huge way. These tips will prove to be invaluable when training with us, so take the leap and start your health and safety journey today.
