WITT's Gasfilter 77 is now available with a filter fineness of approximately 0.5 µm, enabling the filtration of even the finest impurities from gases. This advancement enhances process performance, protects downstream equipment, and reduces maintenance costs and expensive downtime.
Even with the highest gas purities, mechanical impurities and condensate can still be present in the gas line. Tiny particles can negatively impact application performance or damage equipment, such as in fibre laser cutting. The Gasfilter 77 reliably cleans the gas, ensuring the optimal function of sensitive processes. This also extends maintenance intervals and the overall service life of equipment, thereby reducing operating costs.
The model 77 is suitable for numerous technical gases and a wide range of applications, both for in-line installation and integration into larger systems. The filter element is made of stainless steel. Depending on the application, filter elements with fineness of approximately 10 or 40 µm are available, in addition to the 0.5 µm version, allowing for higher flow rates.
Alternatively, WITT offers the model 77 with filter elements made of bronze, with fineness of approximately 5 or 50 µm. These are designed and cleaned for oxygen use in accordance with EIGA, AIGA, and CGA requirements.
As expected from WITT, the Gasfilter 77 is easy to install and maintain. The wide selection of available connections simplifies installation. Thanks to its ingenious design, the filter cartridges can be changed quickly and easily inline, saving time and money. Condensates can be removed easily via a drain.
This high-quality device features a brass housing, stands 210 mm high with a diameter of 80 mm, and weighs approximately 2.8-3 kg, depending on the filter element. Depending on the type of gas, a maximum inlet pressure of up to 50 bar is possible. The permitted temperature range is -40 to +60 °C with a stainless steel filter element, or -30 to +60 °C with a bronze filter element.
