GAS SUPPLIER USES WITT SAFETY RELIEF VALVES WITHIN THEIR MANIFOLD PRESSURE REGULATING STATIONS
A major European gas supplier uses Witt AV815 safety relief valves available from Witt, the gas safety, control, mixing and analysis equipment supplier within their manifold pressure regulating stations for acetylene to meet the DIN EN ISO 7291 standard.
By installing a safety relief valve with a pipeline pressure regulator, the regulator conforms to the requirements of a manifold pressure regulator. The advantages of using the AV815 safety relief valve is that it can be installed in any position or orientation, it also has 6 different opening pressures and nominal gas flows plus the pressure setting is TÜV certified.
The AV815 is mounted directly after the pressure regulator in the pipeline and to enable a direct connection with the venting pipe an adaptor is fitted.
The AV815 is a spring loaded, direct acting safety relief valve specifically designed for use with acetylene. It has a protective dust cap, an adaptor for pipeline ventilating. It has a temperature operating range from
-40°C up to approximately +80°C and is available with operating pressures ranging from 0.6 – 2.0 bar.
It is compact being only 91mm long and has a maximum 27mm width.
In addition this gas supplier also uses Witt HDS17 quick shut off devices and RF53N Flashback Arrestors.
