LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 now in four chamber sizes - Leak testing for (almost) any packaging size

WITT's LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 is a reliable, fast, and user-friendly device designed to test the leak-tightness of modified atmosphere packaging. Excitingly, we are pleased to announce that the leak tester now comes equipped with two larger chambers, expanding its capabilities further. This means that food producers now have access to four chamber sizes, empowering them to test packages of almost any size and ensure the utmost quality of their products.

The LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 is specifically designed to test packages for escaping CO2, a common element in modified atmosphere packaging. By generating a vacuum in the test chamber, any leaks can be detected as the protective gas escapes from the test product. This is accurately identified by CO2 sensors, all while keeping the packaging intact during the testing process.

The speed of the test is truly impressive, taking only a few seconds. This results in significant time savings for inspectors, enabling them to work more efficiently. Furthermore, the procedure is incredibly reliable and precise. Depending on the packaging and test conditions, even the tiniest leaks as small as 10 micrometres can be consistently detected. In essence, the LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 effectively addresses the micro-leaks that have long troubled numerous manufacturers.

Operating the PRO 2 couldn't be simpler. Just place the product inside the chamber, close the lid, and initiate the test using the intuitive touch display. The test is automatically carried out with a preset vacuum and over a defined period of time. The chamber is equipped with LED illumination, providing a clear and visible signal of the test result. If the packaging is leak-proof, the chamber lights up in green, while a red light indicates a leak. This straightforward and user-friendly system ensures ease of use for operators.

Thanks to its compact design, the PRO 2 requires minimal space, making it an ideal choice for various production environments. In its standard configuration, the unit operates with compressed air. The Venturi nozzle utilized to generate the vacuum is exceptionally low-maintenance and durable, resulting in significant reductions in operating costs. Additionally, an alternative version with an electric vacuum pump is available for all chamber sizes, offering flexibility to suit individual preferences.

All measurement results, including the date, time, product details, and the name of the tester, are securely stored and can be easily exported for archiving purposes. The data can also be analyzed using popular software such as MS-Excel®, providing convenient and versatile options for further examination. Notably, the LEAK-MASTER® PRO 2 has an impressive capacity, managing up to 1,200 products and storing names, passwords, and barcodes for up to 60 users.
