UP-GRADED GAS MIXER ALARM MODULE FROM WITT GAS
Witt Gas Techniques Ltd, the Warrington based gas safety, control, mixing and analysis equipment supplier has announced that their alarm module used to monitor the inlet pressures of the gas supply to gas mixers has been upgraded and is now available as version 2.0. This new version can also monitor the maintenance intervals of the gas mixer, memorise the inlet pressure faults as well as control the outlet pressure.
Witt gas mixers are available as either mechanical or electronic systems for use in food packaging, brewing, welding, glass production, furnace treatment and laser technology industries to name a few
This alarm module uses an acoustic alarm when the gas pressure is too low and the new module has a number of new features including alarm signals that can be set manually to ensure that checks on the gas mixer are carried out and which can be acknowledged by the operator and a new internal clock shows the operator on a LED display when maintenance is required.
This module can also identify a cable break or a defective sensor. It also has more interfaces including a USB-port, an analogue interface and an I2C bus. The software can now also be updated and parameters set using the new interfaces, whilst stored alarms can be transferred to a PC for future analysis and for filing.
This new module is completely compatible with the older version and can be retrofitted to existing gas mixers; however it is smaller and needs less space within the gas mixer.
