C.Scope YIRS-512 512Hz Metal Pipe Sonde

The C.Scope YIRS-512 512Hz Metal Pipe Sonde is designed for locating blockages or other features within metal pipes. For this purpose, the sonde can emit an ultra-low frequency signal (512Hz) which is capable of penetrating the metal and reaching a C.Scope MXL4 Cable Locator up to 5m away (depending on pipe wall thickness). The low frequency is perfect in combination with a camera inspection system for finding blockages.

As the C.Scope YIRS-512 must be inserted into gas and water pipes, the plastic casing is IP-rated as IP68, thereby preventing damaging ingress. The threaded stainless steel stud can screw onto a 7 t.p.i. rod fitting which therefore allows it to be manoeuvred underground by a drain rod or similar appliance.

A battery life of 25 hours is supplied by just one 1.5V AA battery so the C.Scope YIRS-512 can be used for extensive pipe inspections. The small construction allows it to be inserted into a 50mm pipe. Overall, it constitutes a really useful accessory for finding blockages in metal pipes.
