Chauvin Arnoux CA6121 Electrical Safety and Machinery Tester

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6121 Electrical Safety and Machinery Tester can test the electrical safety of machines to European Standard EN60204-1 with discharge time test (0 to 10s), insulation testing (0 to 500MΩ), continuity test (0 to 1.99Ω) and dielectric tests at 1000V, 1250V or 1500V AC.

Both two- and four-point testing are available for discharge time tests in order to assess both the terminals and the internal components. Timed insulation testing negates the issue of transient current affecting results and test voltages go up to 1200V. Continuity testing uses the four-wire method and can display in either ?U for voltage drop or in Ω. Dielectric tests allow adjustment of the maximum current threshold from 1 to 500mA and also feature a timer. Real voltages and currents are displayed and floating HT outputs enhance user safety. The Chauvin Arnoux CA6121 also has adjustable alarms for resistance level during insulation testing and voltage drop during continuity testing.

Readings are displayed on the Chauvin Arnoux CA6121’s backlit dot matrix screen and operation is surprisingly simple thanks to the user-friendly design and straightforward interface. The correct function is selected via a simple dial whilst push buttons allow the user to navigate through the instrument’s menus and the internal memory which has enough space for 999 measurements. Data transfer to a PC is possible through an optional RS232 cable and CA6121 transfer software.

The Chauvin Arnoux CA6121 is supplied with everything needed to start work immediately including two high voltage guns on 2m cables plus a handy carry bag with shoulder strap. The sturdy, portable case makes the tester suitable for use in all manner of environments.
