Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 Earth and Resistivity Tester
The Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 Earth and Resistivity Tester carries out resistance measurement (0 to 1999Ω) for earth electrode testing, ground resistivity testing and coupling tests via the traditional rod method. Test currents can be of 10mA, 1mA or 0.1mA and the tester is suitable for three- or four-wire testing. The equipment is very easy to set up thanks to four colour-coded terminals and the user can change between three- or four-wire testing with a handy captive bar.
Automatic test current and range selection make measurement more precise and reliable and the Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 has three flashing LEDs that serve to warn of testing problems including current circuit fault, high resistance and high environmental noise. Readings are clearly displayed on the digital screen which has backlighting for use in poor visibility.
The Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 is incredibly safe to use thanks to IP53-rated plastic cladding which is resistant to water and dust ingression, thus allowing safe use out in the field. Furthermore, operation is not hindered by dangerous or noisy environments which feature issues such as parasitic voltage, high telluric current, or resistive auxiliary connections.
The integrated rechargeable battery and charging point allow the Chauvin Arnoux CA6462 to be used even when recharging although one charge supplies enough power for 1180 measurements. A 12-month warranty covers the instrument and it is supplied with a carry case and a charger.
