Chauvin Arnoux PEL103 Power Quality Analyser

The Chauvin Arnoux PEL103 Power Quality Analyser is a sophisticated datalogger which records various aspects of electricity consumption (RMS frequency, voltage, current, power values, power factor) in order to build a detailed picture of plant performance, thus highlighting any areas where energy might be saved.

The analyser compares real time readings to historical data in order to track the emergence of issues over time and also has alarms for when the power threshold is exceeded. Results can be displayed on the PEL103’s backlit digital screen and can also be transferred to a PC. It is easy to install thanks to its magnetic mounts and constitutes an excellent tool for ensuring energy efficiency.

Chauvin Arnoux 1950 Diacam2 Thermal Camera

The second main instrument in the Chauvin Arnoux EEBS kit is the Chauvin Arnoux 1950 Diacam2 Thermal Camera. This ergonomic thermal camera provides sharp, focus-free thermal imaging between -20?C and 250?C via an 80 x 80 pixel thermal sensor. The temperature means that the camera is suitable for inspecting production plants and HVAC systems and can catch problems early as well as helping to highlight temperature-related inefficiency. High thermal sensitivity (≤80mK) and a 20? x 20? field of vision allow detailed inspection across a wide area without having to adjust focus.

Images and visible-light counterparts from the integrated digital camera are saved alongside one another to the Diacam2’s supplied 4GB SD card and can be transferred to a PC either by removing the SD card or through the supplied USB cable. With a choice of colour palettes and blending, the camera provides great flexibility to the user whilst it also boasts several practical features such as a stable base, tough casing (drop tested to 2m) and an enormous 13-hour battery life.

These include all standard accessories supplied with each product (data transfer cables, test leads, carry case etc.) but added value is provided by three Chauvin Arnoux MA193 MiniFlex Clamps which can measure AC current from 100mA to 10kA for more in-depth inspections. This then allows excellent power quality analysis using the included Chauvin Arnoux DataView® software. The software can map historic trends seen with the PEL103 whilst also providing greater analysis for images taken with the Diacam2.
