Clare STM/L Production Line Safety Tester

The Clare SafeTest Manufacturing/Luminaire (STM/L) can be used as a simple manual electrical safety tester or as a semi-automatic tester, with a variety of automatic test sequence options.

Both manufacturers and importers of luminaire products must be able to demonstrate that their products meet relevant EU directives including the LVD (Low Voltage Directive), which is addressed by IEC/EN 60598-1. The STML is able to conduct the electrical safety tests as published in EN60598, including:

• Earth bond test
• Insulation resistance test
• Flash testing / hipot tests
• Leakage tests
• Short-to-line and run/load tests

Tests can be individually selected and the STM/L’s internal memory has the capacity to store up to 6,000 test results. The Clare SafeTest Manufacturing/Luminaire is also quick and easy to control, operating from a full QWERTY keypad or even by using an optional barcode scanner.

An optional label printer enables the automatic production of test tags, labels and test reports. Using the optional barcode scanner (for product identification and tester configuration) means the Clare STM/L can be integrated easily into a typical ISO quality control system.
