CorDEX ToughPIX II ATEX Certified Explosion Proof Digital Camera

The CorDEX ToughPIX II ATEX Certified Explosion Proof Digital Camera is ideal for use in hazardous vapour environments without the risk of atmospheric ignition.

With ATEX Ex d IIB+H2 T6 Gb / II2G Gb T6 classification, it is fully certified for use in hazardous areas, and the camera's casing is IP54-rated, allowing the camera to be used in even the most demanding or dangerous or environments.

Capable of capturing still images and high definition video in the most demanding industrial environments, the ToughPIX II uses a 16 megapixel SLR-style lens with a fantastic level of detail and 16GB of built-in memory ensures you've got plenty of storage.

Able to directly download using CorDEX's CONNECT software package (included), the camera can be conntected via USB for simple downloads and gives access to your images and video on a larger screen.

With an in-built LED flash for use in low light, the CorDEX ToughPIX II comes with both 3x Optical and 4x Digital zoom, as well as anti shake, auto focus, macro and face recognition functionality. An additional Macro lens is now also supplied with the ToughPix II

Weighing in at just 900g, the lightweight ToughPIX II is one of the lightest explosion-proof digital cameras available and is perfect for use in the field.

CorDEX ToughPIX II Battery Performance

Please note that the special certified battery pack supplied with the CorDEX ToughPIX II has different characteristics to the standard batteries used with domestic electrical devices.

The choice of battery chemicals is limited and they incorporate permanent electronic protection circuitry to achieve hazardous area (ATEX) certification. This has an effect on battery life both in use and in storage.

Batteries will lose their charge quite rapidly whether attached to the camera or not.
Batteries should always be charged immediately before use for maximum performance.
Batteries will degrade more rapidly than standard batteries and must be replaced regularly to maintain camera performance.
Low temperatures will seriously affect battery performance.
Maximum battery capacity is reached subsequent to a full charge/discharge approximately six times.
